I have not done any running since I got back from Asia. I’m now two weeks behind on my training =( Part of what’s holding me back is work and the other part of it is social engagements (like Vegas). I’m totally sidelined and I’m afraid that the farther I slip, the harder it will be for me to meet my goals for this training period. I’m going to have to re-work my current training schedule.

Trying to get myself back on track, I re-watched Spirit of the Marathon with my brother, Trang, and Nick this past Thursday in San Diego. It’s definitely inspired me to get started again, but what’s really put fire to my butt is finally registering for the Long Beach Half Marathon! I did it yesterday, just before the next registration fee price hike. So, I was able to register for $60! Last year when I registered in July, it had already hit $80. So, quite a price difference =) In any case, I feel a sense of urgency, now, to start my training so that I can reach my goals.

I’m also going to sign up for the Mud Run, which is the Saturday following the half marathon. I think I should be ok to do that, right???

Anyone interested in doing these runs??? =)

Oh! The good thing is that even though I haven’t been consistently working out, I’ve managed to not only maintain my weight loss, but I managed to lose 2lbs while I was in Asia! Even with all the eating we did =) Yay!
