Today’s goal was to do 4 miles at 11:30 min a piece. It was definitely one of the harder runs I’ve had to do in a while. Something tells me that it’s gonna take me a few weeks to adjust to this training schedule =P

Today, I did a 3min:50sec run:walk interval. When I was running, I was keeping between a 10-10:30 min pace. While I was walking, I was anywhere between 20-19 min/mile. Even though I was able to maintain a 10:30 pace last week for my 2 mile tempo, I was definitely struggling a bit today, even with the run/walk interval. I think I might not have eaten enough before my run. I ended up getting really, really hungry about 3 miles into it.

I wanted to walk my last mile, but I forced myself to push on. I really, REALLY wanted to meet my time goal today, and I did =) Oh happy day!
