I’m finally caught up!

On my running plate today was a 2 mile recovery run and a set of 6x400m speedwork.

I sandwiched my speedwork between the 2 recovery miles. 1 mile warm-up, 1 mile cool down. The speedwork was pretty freaking awesome. Even though it was still really, really warm when I got out there at around 8pm, each interval flew by like nothing. My average pace for each interval was around 9:30. Yes! You read right! 9:30! woo hoo! =)

After I got back from my run, I ate some turkey burgers with rice and let my body recover from the hard effort. I also took a quick 25 min nap to let my body recoup.

This week, I started my 5th week and the second phase of P90X. It’s basically the same schedule I had for Phase 1, except my Shoulders and Arms workout has been swapped out for Chest, Shoulders and Triceps. I don’t really enjoy the CST workout as much mostly because there are a ton of push-ups and it starts to wear on my wrists after a while. Thankfully, I only have to do this workout once a week. But even so, I’m hoping that the push-ups will start to get a lot easier. I do want some nice guns =)
