
I’ve been out of the training loop since August 7th, which means it has taken me 17 days to recover from my bug! Today marks my 18th day, and the day I’ll be trying to jump back into P90X. I’m picking it up where I left off, the second week of Phase 2. So, I must do Cardio X, and if possible, Core Synergistics, which I should have done yesterday. I also need to do a 9 mile long run. Funny how this used to be a normal workout day for me and now it seems really daunting!
Every day that passed as I was recovering, brought on more fears that I was losing a lot of the fitness I had built up. But last week’s 8 miler warded off a lot of those fears. By some miracle, I managed to run close to my target race pace, and I wasn’t sore the next day! (Thank you, runnings gods!)
And speaking of progress, here’s a peek at what’s been going with my battle against the bulge.
Weight: 155
Waist: -1 inch
Arms: -.5 inch
Hips: -.5inch
I haven’t budged AT ALL weight wise, but I’ve been losing some inches around my body. I hope this means that I’ve been losing fat but gaining muscle at the same time. If this is the case, then I’m quite happy with this development!
Count on updates should I finish my scheduled workouts today =)
